NEW Location for Scrapbook Store in Yuma...I'm Teaching There!

For those of you in Yuma, you've heard of the scrapbook store called MEMENTOS! It's a fantastic store, with more Bazzill than you can shake a stick at...and it offers a TON of classes!

They were kind enough to hire me on as the "military instructor" and I'm getting very excited to teach my first class there next month! They are moving locations this week and their Grand Re-Opening is this Sat. May 2, 2009...National Scrapbook Day! They are located right across from Sam's Club on Pacific. Take a look at their Blog to see all their neat stuff, and look below at the class I'll be teaching Sat. May 9, 2009...A Real American Hero!

Changes Are Hard...

Spring has sprung (at least down here in the southwest) and I am witnessing transformations all around me! Not only with nature surrounding me, or with the ever-changing world, but within myself too. These "hard economic times" are affecting us all and the changes me and my family are making are actually enlightening! I thought it'd be hard to "cut-back", but I'm finding it's actually an easier adjustment...and I kinda like it! Our choices are very clear to us now...there's no more "wondering what we should do"! Do the 6 of us go out to eat and spend $70 or go to the grocery store and put some effort into what we're putting in our bodies, and our wallets? My mother's been here for the past week and a half and I've learned more about cooking than ever before, and it's actually fun! I feel like the changes we're making as a family are not depriving us of any activity we were once used to, but ultimately bringing us closer together as a complete unit, physically and emotionally. May the month of March bless us all and may you be able to focus on what's truly important!

Having a military family, raising four boys and owning my own business consumes most of my energy, and often makes me feel like I’m losing my mind! But, I love every minute of it because it shows me that I am capable of accomplishing anything…we all are if we choose to.
